Community Art Show

This program has been a community tradition since 2001. Local adult artists (age 18 and up) enter their artwork in one of four main categories: fine art 2D, fine art 3D, applied art, and photography. Professional judges assess the entries and top entries in each category are awarded cash prizes. Check back in March for 2025 Community Art Show entry information.

Young Artist Showcase

This long standing program recognizes students in 6th through 12th grade who excel in the areas of visual art, music, writing, dance, and drama. Professional judges are enlisted to assess entries in each discipline. Along with the sports and academic awards that are traditionally given by the schools, YAS trophies and ribbons are awarded to the winners at each school’s end of the year awards program. YAS fills a gap in local awards programs, showing students that they can be rewarded for artistic talent and creates an incentive for students to achieve excellence.

Community Theater

Bringing together people of all ages, the BAAC’s bi-annual community theater production is a highlight of Batesville’s summer events. This program provides opportunities for actors, musicians, visual artists, and a host of backstage talents to collaborate, create, and perform. Past productions include Peter Pan (2018), Shrek (2022), and, most recently, School of Rock (2024).
