The Bacon Blues & Brew Music and Arts Festival at Walhill Farm is August 26-28. Three artists who will be performing at the festival will also be working with Batesville students in several art and music classrooms the week prior to the festival.
Guitarist Michael Kelsey, harmonica player Carson Diersing and visual artist Patrick Durkin (aka Matisse-a-Pizza) will work with over 300 of our students August 23-26 as part of the Arts in Education Programs at Batesville High, Middle and Intermediate Schools and St. Louis School. I am very excited about this collaboration with Walhill Farm and the Rural Alliance for the Arts! Please know that you and your family are welcome to experience these and other great artists and musicians at the festival! Michael Kelsey and Carson Diersing will be performing as part of the FREE outdoor concerts, and you can create a one-of-a-kind piece of art with Matisse-a-Pizza.
The cost for a Matisse demonstration/kit is $10. RAA members can receive a $2 discount for each kit purchased. Stop by the RAA table for coupons.
