Nearly sixty area youth starred in “The Wizard of Oz” Friday, July 21 and 22 at the Oldenburg Academy auditorium. The musical is presented by the Minnesota-based Prairie Fire Children’s Theater and sponsored by Rural Alliance for the Arts. The children auditioned Monday, July 17, and rehearsed only one work week before presenting the show Friday night. The two directors, college grad students, travel to many communities throughout the US all summer working with youth who are interested in theater and drama.
