Robin McBride visits BIS

Robin McBride Scott is a Native American pottery artist who hosted pottery workshops for all 5th grade students at BIS. During her workshops, students learned about the art of ancient indigenous peoples, the importance of pottery in Native American life, and discovered how archaeologists come to learn about ancient cultures by studying their pottery and other artifacts they've left behind. Robin guided students in making their own piece of Native American - style effigy pottery, which is a vessel made in the form of a person or animal. The students each created their own effigy birds.
