BPS students help design a new mural with muralist Hanna Gundrum

Batesville Primary School students helped design a new mural in our building with muralist Hanna Gundrum from San Diego, California. All BPS students met with Hanna virtually in March where she taught the students the history of murals and helped students brainstorm to create the concept and design for our mural. Hanna was at BPS for 4 days in May painting the mural. The students were able to interact with her and ask her questions about the mural, her business, and becoming an artist when they grow up. Hanna was an amazing artist to work with and the students learned from her and had fun with this successful project that will brighten our hallway for years to come.
