Ion Jones visits Oldenburg Academy

Ion Jones presented students with a chemistry-based art experience. Students learned about

ultraviolet light and how to pull apart colors. Students learned how inventions changed our

ability to make materials, such as teslin paper for maps and drawing. Students used black lights

to see the difference in colors once exposed to the light. Students also learned the science

behind mood rings, and how they really just are chemicals that react with heat to make color,

and the crystals in those mood rings react to temperature to create color.
