Lester Laminack visits BIS!

Children’s book author Lester Laminack visited Batesville Intermediate School on March

8th and 9th. He shared his experience as an author with students in grades 3-5.

Students were able to hear how Mr. Laminack starts with a simple idea (often a memory

or experience) and creates a wonderful story. On the second day of his visit, Mr.

Laminack visited each of the 7 fourth grade classrooms and worked with the students

for 45 minutes on developing stories that had already been written. After getting

feedback from Lester, students will be publishing their stories into physical books to

take home at the end of the school year.
