Mrs. Russell visits St. Louis School

Mrs. Russell came to Saint Louis school and worked with grades; Kindergarten, grade 5, grade 3 and grade 2. The students were instructed on different types of dance, and how dance is used in different cultures. The students enjoyed learning about the various types of dance, and how dance is an artistic expression that is unique to different countries and cultures. Students were then able to try out different dance steps with dance instructor Mrs. Russell. They learned some of the history of Ballet and tired out different ballet steps and learned some of the French ballet terms. They also learned about tap dancing and we were all able to learn a simple line dance. This was a very engaging class and the students thoroughly enjoyed being able to participate in it.
