What’s Coming for the Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) This Fall


This fall, the Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) is excited to present a range of enriching events that celebrate art, community, and creativity. Whether you’re interested in theater, music, or visual arts, the BAAC’s diverse lineup has something for everyone. Below is a look at the upcoming events:

"The Art Of" Video Podcast Screening

Date: Thursday, October 17, 2024

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: Gibson Theatre, Batesville, IN


BAAC’s "The Art Of" video podcast series showcases the work of local artists in their element, creating and sharing their passion for art. Each episode pairs an artist with a community member to explore their creative process in mediums such as painting, dance, and metalwork. 


This event is free and open to the public, providing a wonderful opportunity for art enthusiasts to come together and celebrate the vibrant artistic community in Batesville. Thanks to Batesville Main Street and the Indiana Arts Commission for their generous support, which has made this event possible.

 

Farmers Market Music

Date: Saturday, October 19, 2024

Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Location: Downtown Village Green, Batesville, IN


Celebrate the talents of guitarist and vocalist Marisa Fullenkamp while enjoying fresh produce, home-baked goodies, and handcrafted treasures at the Batesville Farmers Market. The event will take place on the Downtown Village Green, offering a lively atmosphere with music as the perfect backdrop to your market shopping experience.

Location: Kids Discovery Factory, 110 Sycamore Street, Batesville, IN


In partnership with the Kids Discovery Factory, BAAC introduces the Backstage Pass Theater Camps, offering children ages 5-14 a behind-the-scenes look into the science, technology, engineering, art, and math behind theater productions. The first class will focus on Special Effects Makeup and is sure to captivate young theater enthusiasts. Additional camps will continue into 2025.

Location: Romweber Party Place, 7 South Eastern Avenue, Batesville, IN


Join us for a spellbinding evening of ghostly melodies and timeless compositions at the Classically Haunting Halloween Concert, featuring the Rannati Quartet. This hauntingly beautiful concert combines the eerie with the elegant, providing a perfect Halloween atmosphere. A cash bar will be available, and seating is limited, so be sure to register online at baacindiana.org or pick up a ticket order form at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
